What is CBD oil?

Most of the CBD oil in the uk is made from industrial sativa hemp. It contains a lot of CBD and very little or no THC. It doesn’t get you high or stoned. CBD oil is used by people with a variety of ailments. We sell CBD oil as a dietary supplement and we do not make any medical statements.

What is the difference between Indica and Sativa?

Indica Cannabis Plants

Indica plants typically grow short and wide. This growth pattern makes Indica plants better suited for growing indoors. This is one of the reasons that Indica is more expensive than sativa. Indica-dominant cannabis strains tend to have a strong sweet or sour odour to the buds. The most popular Indica strains currently include Kush, Northern Lights and White Widow.

Sativa Hemp Plants

Sativa plants grow tall and thin, making them better suited for outdoor growing – especially since some strains can reach over 25 ft. in height. When Making the oil the whole plant will be used to extract the CBD content. Indica tends to be made using just the buds again increasing the costs and Sativa CBD tends to include the stalks as well, but this is not always the case. Sativa-dominant strains tend to have a more grassy type odour to the buds.

Hybrid Cannabid Plants = Indica and Sativa cannabis

Marijuana strains range from pure sativas to pure indicas and hybrid strains consisting of both indica and sativa(30% indica – 70% sativa, 50% – 50% combinations, 80% indica – 20% sativa). Because Sativa and Indica buds have very different medicinal benefits and effects, certain strains can be targeted to better treat specific illnesses.

Which oil is best for me?

Due to the Government not recognizing cannabis as having any medicinal value we are not allowed to make any recommendations.

Everybody has an endocannabinoid system which is what directly interacts with the compounds in cannabis to promote wellbeing. Everyone is unique and has different lifestyles and interactions. Our bodies respond differently to the extracts which means what is good for one may not be good for another. Everyone responds differently to CBD oil.

What’s the best way to take CBD oil?

CBD oil is best taken sublingually, under the tongue You can also drip it on the hand and then lick it. Some people do not find the taste pleasing. In this case you can also drip the oil on a piece of bread. You could also put a drop onto a chocolate button and hold this under the tongue.

The oil won’t come out the bottle.

During the winter months the oil will thicken up due to the cold weather. If you store the oil in the fridge you will need to warm the bottle backup. We would suggest placing the bottle in some warm water or placing near a heat source.

The cap keeps leaking

We suspend the extract in hemp seed oil. If this gets onto the thread of the bottle it will act like a lubricant and undo the bottle. To stop this happening, you need to clean the thread with kitchen paper and clean inside the plastic pipette.
